To any potential buyers, here's a quick but effective rust removal guide... correct anything should you see fit...
1. Get some steel wool, WD40, and micro-fiber cloths. The finer the steel wool is, the harder its gonna be to remove any rust. You can get steel wool, WD40, and micro-fiber clothes at an auto store like Repco or Super Cheap, even try Bunnings.
2. Tear a little piece of the steel wool & spray some WD40 on it. Rub the steel wool on the "infected" exhaust part HARD to remove the rust. Depending on how bad the rust, it might take time to get the rust off (well fucking DUH!).
3. Wipe the micro-fiber cloth over the "treated" area to remove all the WD40 grease you've globbed over. The MF cloth does wonders, especially a good new one.
4. Get some heat resistant (200+- C should do the trick) clear coat, and spray thin layers, then dry, thin layer, dry... 3 should be good.
Kool... right as rain.
DISCLAIMER: I don't know if anyone would be smart enough to attempt my method on the CAR itself... but yeah, please don't... lol. thats what bodyshops are for. This "guide" is for non-body panel parts.
