Yes, I've used it. Its what I painted my Rims with. Awsome stuff, easy to apply whether wheel is on the car or off. Just make sure you apply it evenly and if you do it on the car, make sure you put paper on parts you don't want to be covered in it. You can buy 4 cans off this ebay seller (needs to always be couriered), or from autobarn. Not overly expensive and yes you will need at least 3 minimum. The forth can is for touch-ups.

Can's be bought for roughly $24, depending on where you buy it from. So its not that expensive. But you are paying for a product that can be removed when you don't like the look of it. Plus as long as the coating is even, it just peels off (with some effort).

I have also read from a few forums and posts that over time, the plastidip can melt and make it harder to remove. So it all depends. I've not yet needed to remove mine, as I've just kept on touching it up.

The colour of the plastidip that I used is called "Gun Metal Grey", its meant to be grey looking up close, but from a distance it has a black appearance, which was the effect that I wanted.

Hope the info helps. :D

There are two ebay sellers that sell and ship in Australia, their price is only a few cents difference ($23.50-$23.88 ), their courier prices is what is competitive (so ask about a bulk or multibuy as you might get shipping cheaper than normally would get). I do believe Autobarn is like $28-$35. I don't remember as my memory of their price was from an introductory sale they had for it a few months back. So as you can tell, I bought mine off ebay).

Hope that helps. :D

plast dip is just liquid wrap
comes out like paint and niteshade and after 3-4 layers it sets into a nice thick vinyl
good for little jobs like blacking out the centre and rims but you cant do big jobs such as roof and bonnet as it will come out uneven and bad
cars can be liquid wrapped but you need to get a spray gun and do it
remember plasti dip is just a brand of liquid wrap

its a rubber based coating that sprays as a liquid and will set hard. Ive used it heaps for a variety of stuff on my car. I've sprayed my rims, emblems and grill with it. It's great because its almost impossible to get runs with it. What are you thinking of spraying? I just recently did a set of evo x rims that i just mounted.

There's a channel on youtube "Dipyourcar" that goes through DIYs on everything from emblems to the full car body and how to fix it when you make mistakes.

Yeah that's what I did to my rims as well. You'll need 4 cans to do about 3 coats minimum on each wheel, you'll probably have around half a can as touch up for later. Do light first coat and slightly thicker second coat then the last one lay it on thick when it dries it's come out nice and smooth. I also put two coats of glossifier to give it a bit of shine rather than the matte finish. It came out with a kind of satin black look but if ur after matte then don't worry about it.

Ok sounds really good so far.
How is it when you clean your car with pressure cleaners. Do I need to keep re applying it every time you put wheel acid on it.

You might want to give http://www.evolvedcoatings.com.au/ a try. It's local, and is a bit cheaper. Plus you get an electric spray gun with the kit.

Holds up to pressure cleaners. Thin layers get blown off though. Some wheel acids will weaken it, so do your research before using them. I've been using plastic cleaner/shine stuff, and it works so far.

Hey guys, just wondering how good plastidip is to cover dents.
I have a dent that comes out of the rim (doesnt curve in towards the wheel)
Thinking of plastidipping will it cover it up?
