Looks very tempting although it does make me wonder if maybe I should just buy proper gauges...

is it a changed version so it boots differently? i would be surprised if you can do that with a stock win7 OS

Eeebox FTW!

My mate has one setup as his media box for his house. Confirmed to run windows 7! Its got 2gb ram off the top of my head and either 1.6 or 1.8ghz processor. Runs pretty darn good. Hes got it hooked up to his 50" LCD hanging on his wall. I think i have a picture of it somewhere, but it was a picture of it when it was running XP...

Might pick up a touch screen do speedies idea, mount it under the seat and use it as a media center for the car. Get one of those prepaid 3G cards and you'll have wireless where ever you go. You'll be laughing

My mate at work is running a P4 CPU on like 768mb ram with windows 7. Runs pretty good...

Windows 7 only needs 1GB minimum to run anyway, so you should be okay

Draevon, this is the exact company that I was talking to over Xmas. I instead bought the traditional guage style IMFD OBDii system.

I bought a few each of 52mm and 60mm ones from here:
http://www.plxdevices.com/multigauges.html

I am waiting for my box of gauges, but have in my hands the box full of CF A pillar guage holders to mate them to.

Looking forward to seeing yours in the flesh at a meet soon...

Nice work.

two words: Fricken AWESOME!

the amount of features a relatively simple app can have is astonishing! i really want to test the accuracies of the readings but in regards to tacho and boost readings it looks spot on... my only gripe is that it only does 0-60 MPH and not 0-100 km/h but whats 3Kish difference! :)

the "track day" feature is also awesome, i plotted my route to work today and unsurprisingly i got there pretty fast! its good how it combines the GPS for visual representation with the accelerometers in the iphone to measure "G" forces. you can also have up to five "readings" recorded on the run ie: boost pressure, speed, lateral G ect.

all in all an awesome product! ill see if i can post a vid once my cameras charged! im soooo stoked!

Yep I got mine today and I'm pretty stoked with it all too. Love being able to get some decent data from my car instead of the toned down display we're given. Automatic timing to 0-60 is pretty cool ... got a 8.43 so far, but will need a bit of practice with no roadworks :). I'm fiddling around with exporting the data - will post again when I get that sorted.

Don't forget 0-60mph is different to 0-100kph

Depending on how accurate you want to be it would make a difference
