so, there is not much more for me to say, other than, Congrats on the ewn car.

I bet the final few days wait prior to pick up is going to be the worst.

Good luck and make sure you check everything works, every button, gadget, door, no dents or panel deformations, any odd paintwork damage or orange peeling effect, etc. If there is something not quite right, check another Lancer in the yard to make sure it's normal or not. If it's not, note it on the report before signing so they can sort it out on the first 1,500km complimentary service.

Thanks for the advise Pete, I haven't seen the car in the yard because it was still in Mitsubishi's hold...will be at the dealer on wednesday or so... But yes I've made a list of things to check before taking delivery. The wait is unbearable though! *mad2*

Hopefully next weekend I'll have photos up for ya'll to see..

First things and probably the only things on my mind re. mod are..'blackout bumper' and Steel look around front grill.
Lets see how it goes.

Picked up my shiny new Lancer yesterday (finally!!)

Illuminated floor lights, mats, bonnet protector and weathershields.
full tank of fuel and 12months rego. for $19,200.

Yes very good price..I could've done better but I got greedy :mrgreen:

and included the extras i.e. floor lights, bonnet protector, weathershield..which pushed the price up, but anyhoo..I'm still very very happy with it.

Yep..just got the black vinyl and chrome moulding...!
other mods..i m not too sure.. maybe a k&n filter..some cosmetic add-ons....but no performance mods...nope..not for me

Make ureself of the list of mods u want after some looking around the forum then do some research on the net for those parts to get the best price...

thats what i did with my car and got most of em dirt cheap....

I haven't got it done yet. going to be a D.I.Y. job. I just got the vinyl from a signwriter near my work(wangara) during lunch break

got it for $15 should be enough for 2 attempts

A place tried to sell me the vinyl for $50 *faint2*

(it was 3M controltac) tried to talk me into getting him to install it for me..and he wanted $110 for it!!
