Hard Shifting solution!

Postby toc » Sat Jan 02, 2016 5:47 pm

Shifting at times was at times randomly difficult - mostly selecting 3rd or 5th for example.

Today I changed out the clutch fluid and what a difference it makes, it's easy enough - just follow the simple bleed process and keep the brake fluid topped up.

Much better shifting now. The fluid that came out looked somewhat old, it had some small flecks of crap in it.

I noticed the same thing. Did this 3 months after buying a brand new Es. The fluid from the clutch slave cylinder was full of air and had a frothy look to it. After bleeding the clutch gear changes where 10x easier.
