Racing Stripes opinions??

Postby Gleno » Thu Dec 02, 2010 2:27 pm

Was thinking of getting racing stripes for my silver lancer, though still not 100% on it, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on racing stripes??

Was thinking of getting them done black, though confused as too whether to get the double stripe down the middle,or the single one offset from the middle.

The only other cars i have seen stripes on are the hsv commdores, and some ford fiesta's and focus.

Thanks :)

400?? Thats a lot for very little.. I had the VE GT stripes at one stage and it cost me 80 for the exact same thing (7 year vinyl). Speak to Lukeday though, he does this clubs vinyl work. 4 hours too, na. Takes around 20-40mins to do

For something so simple 400 is a rip off

Yeah my friend went to the same place and she paid close to $500 but she had a ford sticker put on the windscreen and some other stuff. If anyone knows of a place in Sydney that does stripes a lot cheaper please let me know. Can't seem to find anything on the Internet and the signwriters i rang up don't do that stuff.

Yeah they look awsome, makes the lancer look unique, I'm suprised no one else here has gone that way, we seem to be focused on blacking out the front bar instead lol :)

I also considered getting stripes but was turned off by the $300+ price and leaving my car in what looked like a very dodgy workshop in Parramatta.

I have an apple sticker on my back window. :P

There's also a Black CJ here in Canberra with the twin racing stripes (in silver)

and YLDLANCER, a Canberra member has twin stripes along his side skirt line (similar to fords) Black on Red car.

I like both.
