where to get the bumper blackout fitted

Postby AUSSIECJ » Mon Nov 22, 2010 2:56 pm

i have started this thread due to the fact that i would not feel comfortable doing the bumper blackout myself

does anybody know of anyplace, or has been to any place in NSW that has fitted the pre cut kit provided by luke from sign creations.

thanks in advanced for assistance and contributions

Your local signwriter would be able to do this, wouldnt be too expensive either since you would bring in a pre-cut piece.

Have to say it's a good idea to go to a sign writer to do it. I tried to do it myself and stuffed up, and ended up removing the whole thing together.

Easy to mess up, i did mine 3 times i think but found a dry method the best, still left plenty of bubbles but over a week they all faded away so its good now.

Would the signwriter know how to take off the front bumper to install the vinyl? Or is this something they would do all time?

Seems like it wouldnt be a normal day at the office for a signwriter to take apart a car.

Cause i want to to do this mod but dont wanna do it myself either lol

Guys, Don't just go to any sort of signwriter. Your best bet would be to go to a signwriter that specialises in vehicle vinyl wrapping.

Also, print off this DIY how to and pass it onto the signwriter of choice to assist them in taking apart the car.

My precut kit has an extra 10mm overlap that sits under the upper grill suround so that you can not see the paint underneath should you muck up triming the vinyl.
