Painted calipers!

Postby ReeceCozaa » Tue Apr 11, 2017 1:43 pm

So thoughtd I'd showcase the paint job I did on my gsr the other day. Paint coated the seeable side of my calipers red.

For anyone wondering on what I used;

-Dupicolour red high resistant calipers spray(1 can allowed for 3 coats on all four calipers.)
-Metal wire brush
-Brake cleaner
-Lots of foil/newspaper
-Masking tape

It isn't as hard as I thought it would be, just very time consuming to mask off all spots! Tell me what you guys think, has anyone else sprayed theirs?

Yeah prep is the key, takes hours to get ready they painting takes minutes (allowing time between coats) but well worth the effort, I did mine in yellow over 2 years ago and they still look great. I didn't worry about paint on the back of the pads.
