Quick brakes question...

Postby Zaphod » Fri Aug 22, 2014 2:08 pm

I had a quick look through the Brakes forum, but can't find a definitive answer; are the front & rear rotors the same on VRX and a RA?

As in a straight swap, without any modifications required...

Z,I know the VRX has bigger brakes than the lower spec Lancers and I am resonably certain they are the same rotor size as the RA.The RA has twin piston front calipers while the VRX has a single piston caliper.

FRONT.
No the discs are different.
Same outside diameter but different thickness and offset.
REAR.
Same size disc but different size drum due to the rear wheel drive in the RA.
Yes the brakes are interchangeable.
