new brake pads?

just had new tires fitted to car (side note bridgstone awesome
)
during process was informed brakes only had a few % left, guys said they could replace them however as its due for a service in about a month thought about getting them done then. however wondering if the 'stock' replacement? whatever Mitsubishi puts on is worth it? or should I get tyre guys to add something a bit nicer? (probably for the same price as Mitsubishi would charge ...) and if anyone had any ideas?

Honestly, for road use theres no real point of getting aftermarket brakes. and if they are cheaper then the OEM one's then il question their quality.
at the most the aftermarket brakers will get you 100 - 0 quicker... but thats about it.
Of course getting aftermarket's would be better, but depends really on your budget if your willing to spend a bit more.

I would use QFM HPX pads very good street pad and great value for money.
very simple job to do yourself, but brakes are something so important for your safety and the safety of others. IMO if you needed to watch a youtube video to work out how to replace them I would leave it to the professionals.

Ultra n00b question, where do you get these pads from.
I can only find these on ebay, unless im not looking hard enough!

When I worked in hte motor trade as a kid, when hte earth was still green, Bendix made the best pads. I can't see a great deal of change. I have QFM HPX pads on hte front now, with 2201s rotors, I'm shifting them out for Ralliart calipers DBA flat rotors and bendix pads, plus you can pick up bendix for 65 bucks if you look around

Is there any brake pads I can get off the shelf at shops that's pretty good? I gotta get mine replaced real soon.

American video, my calipers look nothing like that, actually have to take the calipers off. If you have a torque wrench and the right tools it's not hard, but its 100 bucks to get rotors and pads replaced and an hour wait. Worth the moey for teh guarantee
