Hey guys!

Dont know if this has been discussed already but i couldnt find anything on here.

I was just wondering if the EVO X brakes fit the lancer? Plug and play, or would their have to be any modifications made ?

By Brakes, i mean the caliper and rotors :)

Also the RA brakes, will they fit the normal lancer without modifications.

Thanks guys!

Es/vr, vrx and ralliart brakes are all bolt on or plug and play if you like.

EVO brakes do not fit straight on.

The best cheapest and easiest brake upgrades would be to fit VRX rear brakes and Ralliart front brakes.

hmm i see!

Why vrx on the rears ? can i just get the whole RA set up ?

And would you know what modifications are needed for the evo x brakes ?

Thanks!

The Ralliart rear brakes are different because they have the drive shafts going through them. VRX are slightly bigger then es/vr rear brakes. It is up to you to work out if upgrading the rear is worth the cost when the front do 75% of the braking.

Evo X Brembos will fit on the front and rear of and RA with a few extra parts and a couple of minor modifications, but I can say for sure if they will fit on the NA Lancers. Maybe PM Speedie as he is doing the mod to his RA and might be able to help you out.

Hmm, i think i might do the RA upgrade instead.

I can get the RA whole brakes with rotors, pads, and calipers. for $450.

So the rear rotors would be useful ?

Is the RA brakes a single piston still ?

Thanks guys!

Single piston rear.

This is incorrect.
They both have 294mm disc but different offset.
The VRX have single piston calipers with from memory around 55mm piston.
The Ralliart have twin piston calipers.

They both bolt straight on but you will need the complete brakes including discs and calipers. The Ralliart has different hose to yours and VRX too.

So should i get braided lines for a RA and it will fit into these brakes ?

Thanks for clarifying that up guys! i think i might go to the RA brakes due to it being twin piston.

If you're not in a rush, there will be a few parts floating around in the near future that will help you.

I've got RA front calipers with HEL braided lines. It's a direct bolt on. Didn't see the point upgrading the rears being a FWD.
