So...VRX pads are terrible once you get some heat into them. Don't ask me how I know this, but I do.

Currently all the info I can find is that we can get EBC (Greenstuff pads are meant to be pretty good from a few accounts?), AXXIS and FMSI pads as a replacement for the VRX.

Anyone replaced theirs yet, recomendations? Brands to stay clear of?

If they are available for the VRX, Bendix pads are great, I think they are Ultimates or Advances.

Bendix do standard "heavy duty" pads or "race" pads.

Nothing inbetween.

Fair few comments for the EBC Green's so far so will have a chat to the place I'm going check exhausts out at today as they also do brakes.

They've obviously changed their designations since the last time I bought them.

Look up the Lancer on their product catalogue anyway for pads:

Yeah I did...front brakes we have the choice of 4WD, HD or Race. Rear HD or Race.

Yay for having outlander front callipers I guess :S

EBC Greenstuff and Redstuff are available...think I will go for either of these. Though Redstuff take about 1700km to bed in properly.

I used EBC Greens on my soarer and that had to stop 1.6tonns of 300RWKW tearing down the road so id 100% recomend them.

Just wondering how much will they set you back?

If you plan on ever going to Eastern Creek or Wakefield get the Red Stuff. pad change is super easy on the CJ takes like 30-60mins including the time you spend jacking the car up!!

Oh and as for Bendix as mentioned the HD pads are very good for city driving, but repeated heavy breaking on somewhere like Macquarie Pass at night time and they simply get too hot. ;)

EBC brakes are available through RDA. Click the link for your local stockist.

Also they have replacement, slotted or grooved and dimpled rotors available.

davee, did you went with the EBC greenstuff?
Can I know how much it costs you for front and rear?

The VRX brakes is really too bad for my liking. They just don't eat that well to my comfort.

Haven't done anything about it yet. Haven't had the time.
