Is evo ix caliper fit on 2012 ralliart

I got a 2012 ralliart and I am trying to put evo x caliper on that RA. I made a adapter but it does not 100%fit

Then I just want to ask can I put a evo IX caliper on RA?

If yes, do I have to change the router as well?

i hate to say this to you but the adapter plate you made is illegal it has to be engineered by a auto engineer if you have an accident and your adapter plate failed and caused you to have that accident you will be liable and you will get sued in my opinion not worth it . i have done a bit of research on this i am pretty sure the evo x front hub knuckle fit the ra and then you will be able to fit the brembo's there is a set on ebay here is the link

If you did manage to put Evo9 calipers on your RA you would need to change the rotors as well

and yes you will have to change your front rotor

RA rotor is 294 x 24

evo 9 rotor is 320 x 32

evo 10 rotor is 355 x 32

But any one can tell me how can I put Brembo on rear?

you can't the evo rear hub knuckle is different to the ra the rear setup of the suspension is different . the only way would be to get a adapter plate professionally engineered and then get approved by a engineer from the department of transport.

do you have the front brembo callipers and front rotors ?

if you get the 2 front knuckle's im in brisbane as well i would give you a hand to do this i would love to see if these fit but im pretty sure they do .

also you will have to change your wheels the standard ralliart wheels will not fit over the brembo's.

Poe_snipper said his setup is

Front: Evo 8 Calipers with Evo X Rotor.
Rear: Evo X Caliper with Evo X Rotor.

and 7-9 are the same

I have the Evo 7/8/9 Brembos on the front of my RA with an Evo X Rotor. They are attached using a 'dogbone' bracket. It was a fair PITA to do this but worth it in the end. If I was to do it again, I would seriously consider Drews 6pot BBK (he is on clubralliart.com) as this fits straight on (just need to drill out mounting points) and provides greater braking force.

How did to go with insurance and stuff ? Are you covered since its been modified to fit.

Also whats the 6 plot BBK kit ?

Please see my notes about brakes in the Forums. There is no quick and easy cheap solution you can have safe or you can have cheap. You cant have both.

It is illegal in Australia to drill out mounting holes or machine the lugs on brackets. From what i've seen the so called cheap options don't actually go for much cheaper than a good stoptech (under $2000 US) or if you have lots of cash Brembos for around $3500.

There are quite a number of things that must be right in regards to brake design, tolerances are critical things that need to be considered are swept area, piston volume, disc thickness, disc diameter etc. Just because brakes fit and work brand new does not mean they stay that way.

For example pistons and calipers must be matched to brake thickness to ensure that when both pads and calipers are worn that the pistons do not extend past there designed travel. this cause them to potentially tip in the bores and jam.

the disc must be swept completely and there must be no overhanging of the pad over the surface area this leads to ridges on the pads which can fracture and material become caught between the disc and the pad.

Lastly the master cylinder must be capable of sustaining the volume of the pistons lack of sufficient fluid volume will lead to brake failure.

All in all its your call but if your going to do it do it properly. The correct way is to use a radial mount caliper and bracket I believe the recommended Brembo type is a c type caliper of the appropriate size.

MRT do a big brake kit using corvette C5 calipers that fit under the standard wheels.

TMR do an AP racing kit which i beleive is around $3500 with aluminium hats that fit under standard wheels.

I do beliee evo x brakes can be fitted if as stated you swap the knuckles this could be done relatively cheaply but you would still need to change the Master Cylinder to the evo -x. they wont fit under standard wheels.
