Brake calipers colour

Postby Craker » Thu Oct 11, 2012 2:21 pm

I'm getting slotted rotors and red stuff pads fitted by my local brake place and due to a mix up on there part he has offered to paint my calipers and non contact areaof my disk to prevent corrosion at no charge. He said I can have any colour I want. I was leaning towards red but would the back of the red stuff pads being red look silly. Any suggestions, it's getting done tomorrow.

I would paint the disc silver to blend in.

The discs are very popular painted red. You should not see the back of the pads as there is a metal shim that sits behind them.

If I was you I would get different pads. There are better options around at a cheaper price plus they are too hard for street and won't brake very well when cold which is most of the time.

Pick a different color.. every man and his dog has red these days!
Yes me included, but mine are stock! :P

Go blue to match the car, it will standout with the paint of your car.
Silver
Black
Yellow
these dont look to bad either and are less common! :)

Black or Blue would go really well with your car colour mate. :)

Red's nice, but it's too mainstream these days.
Crayon Pop "straight-five engine" dance ftw.

I agree with Marc. Go with black. I think it would look good.
