My goal in a couple of years when I've paid of the VRX is to get a MY15 Raliart, can they fixed any issues the earlier ones had?
Also can I assume they will probably hold their value a little more since its the last RA model.

The simple answer is, if you are not willing to take the risk on spending money on one and having to potentially fix the gearbox, don't buy one.

Doesn't matter what year it is. If it is such an issue then you are better off buying a manual evo or buying something else...

Doesn't matter what car it is. Had a friend with a near new Ford Mondeo xr5 turbo. Their SST went in theirs and was the same price to get a new one.

If youre not willing to put the money into maintenance and spend the extra money on parts. Don't buy one.

And if you want one so badly, stop spending money on your current car and modifying it when youre only going to buy another car.

I'm not planing any other major mods to the VRX short of maintenance or repairs, even then it will be a while before I can get one.

Had a family member buy a new Pulsar with CVT, it died within 2 years, took Nissan a month to swap the CVT out and get the car back, yes I know its not a SST but any major mechanical part is an expensive business when its not covered by the warranty.

I agree you need to do the right maintenance no matter what car you drive.

Sounds like with normal everyday use and 40,000k oil changes there wont be any problem.
Fitting an EVO cooler and best quality oil should make it bullet proof!!

If you don't drive it like an idiot and look after it, it will last forever. It's common sense really.
