Nu Finish car polish - thoughts??

Postby Gleno » Sat Nov 26, 2011 11:06 am

I have used this product a few times, impressed with how easy it is to use etc, however is there any downsides of this polish?? How does it stack up against meguires and mothers etc???

Meguires and mothers have 2 or 3 step polishing process which i dont have time for and im also impatient when it comes to cleaning a car.

Other than Nu Finish,is there any other polish on the market where you can just clay bar the car, then use just ONE polish to do the job and then walk away satisfied?

Unsure if there's one that uses the clay bar, but recently converted to Turtle Wax Ice fully synthetic polish. Not cheap at all, but absolutely brilliant. Can use it in direct sunlight, doesnt mark black rubber, doesnt mark glass. Takes about as long as it takes to wash a car too - awesome!

My ride has been using NU Finish for the last year.

I swear by the thing.

For the layman, I'd say:

For best protection from the elements, a little shine use NU.
For some protection, More shine, use Meguires Wax
For ultimate shine, little protection use a Canuba wax.

good to hear a few other people swear by the product, you don't hear much talk about it.
so basically after you apply nu finish, you apply a wax after it ??
What do you do if u want to re-polish when it's due?? Still use a clay bar before applying nu finish??

also - my old man swears by auto glym. Been using it for years on a porsche, lexus etc etc, nice cars. Pretty pricey though as far as i've seen. Nu finish seems to be well priced for the reviews it gets, may as well give it a crack mate. But i can say that the turtle wax ice is brilliant if you want to try something else
