how do i get rid of Spiders in my car?!

Postby narji » Mon Oct 24, 2011 1:46 pm

So, this afternoon as i got home.. i opened the back door of my car.. and there was this MASSIVE! brown spider, which as i went to hit it, fell inside the car, and ran off.. i lost it instantly as it was way to quick for me..
i am paranoid as hell when it comes to big fast spiders, and now I'm too scared to drive the car...
any1 know any good ways of getting rid of the lil b@$t@rd?
My friend had a look under the seat and all that, but can't seem to find it.. I'm positive its there, and i need a definite extermination procedure..
thanks

OK.....A friend of mine lets one of those insect bomb thingies off in her ca and just leaves the windows cracked open for a while....that should work
Once its done just leave the windows down to air out and wipe the dash etc... It hasnt hurt anything in here car like plastics etc...but killed all the fleas (She has dogs) etc...

Nerraj Know what you mean about being Too scared to get into the car not knowing where The Big ugly Spider has gone *spider* .... I am also soooo Scared of spiders , I was driving to work one morning at 5am & saw this big Huntsman on my drivers side window " Inside " Hmmmm so I drove to the nearest petrol station & brought a can of insect spray & sprayed it all thought the car "Including the boot & left the windows shut all day while I was working & I do that every few weeks " Just in case " Not getting any spray on the Plastic's or if you have leather as Tis would not be good :)

I know ants don't like peppermint, I have an air freashner which I fill with oil and leave in the car when its not in use, and no creatures crawl in.

I've had problems in the past with cobwebs around my mirrors and in the crevices along the front edge of the door/front fender.

I got a can of that Outdoor spider spray (I keep some on hand because we get red backs around our garage door) I modified the can by getting the extension tube off a can of WD40. Then, equipped with gloves and a mask carefully sprayed around the edge of the mirrors - the tube gets in the gap nicely - then opened the doors and sprayed between the door and fender.
