Never ever ever use anything but Diaqueen or Castrol transmaxx dual in the SST.

We have seen so many come in with clutch issues and other assorted problems, which once we pulled them down it was found they were running non genuine fluid.

If you have the money to throw around on new clutches and gearboxes then yes, feel free to chuck this rubbish in your gearbox. Otherwise, spend the money on the proper fluid.

You are welcome to come into our shop anytime and have a look at the gearboxes pulled apart on the benches and I can show you the comparison between OEM fluid and other "suitable" replacements.

Considering the SST oil is something we don't change all that often I would think using Diaqueen SST oil is far better option than using something that may be detrimental to the transmission. If you throw a handful of coins into a money box every week you will save up enough $$ to buy the correct oil when you need it......

One other thing, looking at the Penrite website MGO7580 is manual transmission oil

Whoops, my typo.

And you should be changing SST fluid every 20k km, not 45k km. The oil is the only thing keeping temps down in the box unless you have a heat exchanger sump, and when your temps get up there bad things happen in the clutch basket.

We see this way too often. Check our facebook page for photos of clutches destroyed from heat and others destroyed from Penrite fluid.
