I provided my oil once, only to find out they never used it, the oil was still behind the counter, I go to my own mechanic now.

Hi Gleno I have always been happy with my services though Mitsubishi BUT I have just had my service done by them again & I was checking under the bonnet only a week after my service & found my coolant on LOW & when I looked at the service papers they had charged me $50 for coolant  So Iam about to ring them & ask WHY ? I have always tried to recheck Oil - water etc after I have my services as years ago "In my old car " The mechanic had left the cap off my oil container

Thats why...if you can...put a mark on parts like oil filter etc...if mark is still there. ..obviously they didn't change that part
My boyfriends dad did it...I know he wouldn't do all that crap

Just gt my car back from service Monday noticed this morning when driving home a slight burnt oil smell in the cabin? Smell wasn't present before the service? What is this likely to be from.

Will be checking that the Pcv line is connected properly as well as for spillage from the oil change, any where else to check? Btw car is approaching 90k any likely part due for replacement that would be the culprit

CCJ Pricing is the price for the parts in question.
I buy them from a dealer here in VIC.
What happens is then I mail them off to you. So you have to factor delivery costs. Shipping liquids nowadays is not cheap.
I would suggest you get someone with a trade card to buy the parts alone from your local dealership parts counter.
Use my prices as a guide.

You need to find out how much the dealer you're sending your car to charges for the service alone while you provide all the consumables.
Some dealers refuse to do that.

Just wondering if anyone had details on what the 90k service should have done and rough estimate for price?

We've been quoted roughly $900 - $1000 for this service just over the phone. Seems bit steep?

Just an update of possible alternative CVT fluids:

ENEOS CVT FLUID

LUBEGUARD

But where to source from, your guess is as good as mine.

The original is:
MITSUBISHI DIA QUEEN CVT FLUID J1, 20L

Image

Comes in a 20L drum.
You need 8L.

The only "aftermarket" one we know which "works" and is accessible is:

Penrite's CVT FLUID V (Full Syn.)

Image

It even claims:

Industry Specifications
Daihatsu Ammix CVT
Ford CVT2, Ford CVT30, Ford Mercon C
GM/Saturn DEX-CVT®
Honda HCF2, Honda HMMF
Hyundai SP-III (CVT)
MB 236.20
Mini Cooper EZL 799
Mitsubishi SP-III (CVT), Mitsubishi CVTF-J1
Mopar CVT Fluid +4
Nissan NS-1 / NS-2
Proton Inspira
Subaru ECVT, Subaru iCVT
Suzuki CVTF TC, Suzuki NS-2, Suzuki CVT Green 1
Toyota CVTF FE, Toyota CVTF TC
Volvo 4959

However it is a RED fluid Vs OEM which is GREEN

Are you still getting service parts at these prices from Mitsi Irving? Just asking cos I went to buy an oil filter from mitsi and they slogged me $22.50 for it. I almost fainted! I told they guy thats wrong as I've only ever paid around $12-15.
Apparently Mitsubishi have increased the prices on all their parts this a couple months ago.

Yes Mitsubishi has jacked up their prices quite abit in recent months.

For A$22.50, I would tell you to buy the K&N Gold Oil Filter from Autobrn this weekend.

Yeah I no longer go to Mitsi for parts now, or servicing. I have found my own mechanic and supply most of the parts needed. Last service I had I pretty much only paid for labor.
