Cheapest place to buy autoglym products

Postby BrownSound » Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:50 pm

hey guys... been reading through the numerous topics on how to keep my car looking good and have decided that i need to get my hands on some autoglym products... i havent been able to figure out where most of you buy your stuff from (other than repco which tends to be waaay overpriced)..

anyone have a trusty online site? i noticed that it is dirt cheap in the US....

o and while im at it what products would you recommend for someone who opted for the paint protection... (dont worry i didnt pay extra for it)

thanks!

Sam do you have to put link up like that?

It is so tempting to just buy up big.

I should have raided your garage of all your products when I was there

Best Buys:

Autoglym Super Resin Polish (1 litre) for $44.95

or Same Product renamed for Bulk / Trade Pack sale:

Autoglym Radiant Wax Polish (5 Litres) for $99.95 which works out @ $20/Litre.
I bought this early last year, it's exactly the same polish as "Super Resin Polish" in a Bulk Trade sized Container.

I generally try to support Australian retailers when I can but I agree that Autoglym is like the British Auto Brand Vibe, mark up after mark up.

I get some of my stuff from here:
http://www.cruzinautostyling.co.uk/

They are an authorised Reseller and have an ebay store too.

HD wax that costs $130 here I got for under $70 delivered. ;)
Love that car!

Thanks for the lead Phil and Shane,

Hey Shane, I remember at the NSW Centennial Park Meet, you mentioned a Pommie Place that you bought your HD Wax from dirt cheap.

I just ordered the Autoglym High Definition Wax.

Delivered to Aust = $66.20 (Half of what it costs here)

The Aussie $$ Exchange Rate ATM makes it pretty tempting to shop overseas.

Thanks again for the lead !!

maybe my girlfriend would go halves with me if i say ill give her that bag.... 8)

after including shipping it works out cheaper for me to head over to car care products.. since im planning on buying like 2-3L in total..

btw how does paint protection and wax go together? the idea is of paint protection is that i don't need to wax right??

No Naheen, you still need Wax to keep your paint surface sealed from the environmental elements.

Hey mate, although i realise that Repco are quite expensive, they do offer a discount to RACV members here in VIC. If they do the same in NSW it might help offset their usual mark-up
All bleeding stops eventually!

Yeah I ended up biting the bullet and just bought it from repco rather than visiting care care products. Not sure about any discounts I might look that up for future reference though.

Sam, I was told I have "six star solutions platinum paint protection which uses PTFE" I really hope this isn't that crap paint protection which wears off??? Either way I might invest in some wax anyway. I have noticed that after 3 months still my paint is still repels water well and has maintained the awesome shine you can see in my garage photos.
