Check out Chemical Guys, I've been using their products for a while. On par with more exclusive brands like Swisswax and P21S but much better value for money. Also very easy on/off

- Wash: Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss
- Clay: Clay Magic
- Paint cleaner/polish: Prima Amigo
- Paint sealant: Chemical Guys Jetseal 109
- Wax: Chemical Guys Pete's 53 or 50/50
- Quick detailer: Prima Slick or Hydro
- Glass: Meguiars NXT
- Interior: Einzsett Cockpit Premium, Chemical Guys Green Clean, Vuplex
- Tyres: Poorboys Bold and Bright
- Wheels: Chemical Guys Premium Blue (not too keen on this stuff - it works but there are better available), Detailers Pride Wheel Glaze
- Tar/Bug remover: Poorboys Bug Squash

I used to use all Meguiars but there are far better products available, the above are just a few examples

I've just started using Turtlewax ICE products and am extremely happy with the results. The car wash costs $19.99 for 1.8L and smells great and gives a nice spot and swirl-free result. What's more amazing is the Polish (473ml for $35) - it's super easy to put on and buff off, and you can do it in the sun on a hot day - whole thing only took me 15 minutes, and it honestly looks like it's been newly waxed (I waxed it a few weeks ago which took me four hours!). The water even beads the same. It's a great alternative to waxing when you don't have much time. Prices from Supercheap.

And no, I have no affiliation with Turtlewax!! :)

Hey Guys,

I use:

Wash - Meguiar's NXT Generation Car Wash
Wax - Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 (liquid)
Tyres - cheapest one from Supercheap

Looks great, smells good when applying and washing strangely enough, the wash cleans really well! The liquid wax is quite easy to apply and use.

Hi fellow Lancer fanatics :)

I have a tone of bug guts on the front of my car that won't come off no matter how much I scrub at it.

I would like to know what products are NOT going to take the paint with the bugs. I'm a little worried about the effect of harsh chemicals with the crappy paint they put on new cars.

Something not too expensive as well.

Use plenty of soapy water and elbow grease.

You can buy bug and tar remover as well, but nothing beats elbow grease.

I tried the elbow grease bit. It just didn't want to budge. That's why I'm resorting to the big guns. I just want to find out what one won't wreck my paintwork. New car paintwork is so damn thin and disgusting.

Maybe try some wax and grease remover? I used this just the other weak when i had some glue residue that just wouldn't come off the car and this seemed to break it down and make it come off with a few wipes..safe on car paint too!

Thanks. You got a name and brand for that?
