Rotational squeaking noise coming from front left wheel

Hello all, I recently noticed a squeaking noise coming from my front drivers side wheel. I’m pretty sure it’s not the brakes because it’s only on a certain spot as the wheel rotates. Also it’s only when I turn the steering slightly to the left. If anyone has any idea what this might be I’d greatly appreciate it. I know it’s not a huge deal but it’s reeeaaally annoying when you have a loud exhaust and you can still hear a squeak thru the turn. Thanks again

Possibly a wheel bearing
Take it to your local mechanic and have a chat

Could be the pad wear indicator squeaking.

Even tho it doesn’t do it when I hit the brakes? I did upgrade my rotors a while back but I’m running standard pads.

The noise the indicators make generally does stop when the brakes are applied

Not yet, my buddy just got let go from the dealership he worked at due to covid. I’ve got quite a bit of work to be done in the coming months so I’ll be trying to get a hold of my mechanic soon.

So I just installed new Brembo pads and it made a world of difference. You were exactly right, after driving around a bit there’s no more squeaking. There was another sound that I just assumed was because I upgraded to drilled/slotted rotors but that sound is gone now too. Hopefully my negligence didn’t mess up the rotors too bad...

Quick update: so I’ve been driving as I normally do for about a month and a couple weeks ago I noticed all the noises are back. For one I realized my rotors were loose when I changed the pads and I was unaware they were not supposed to be that way so if someone knows the exact bolt or screw I’m missing that would be great. A buddy of mine that knows a lot more than I do about cars told me that the squeaking noise sounds like a ball joint. Did a little bit of research and found that it is housed in the lower control arms. I recently got new wheels that are too wide so when having my fenders rolled the guy told me lancers are notorious for having bad rear suspension. Given that I want to add a rear sway bar I’ve decided I want to do a complete overhaul of the suspension including: front LCA, rear LCA, rear adjustable upper control arms, coil overs and a front/rear set of sway bars. Hopefully once all of it is installed the ride will be much stiffer and tighter. Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks in advance

Question : Were the rotors loose with the wheel on or off ? They rely on the wheel to hold them in place. If the wheel isn’t fitted then they will appear to be loose
