Well
It could help you to remove parts
And hen find the parts you remove are broken
And then it cost more $ to fix
Or
You just start.to pull bits off and you get in way over your head and level of commitment and then your in real trouble

Wow that’s great, if that it the case, I hope shipping fees to the US aren’t too much, I believe that price was $260 USD

I think the shipping would be high as the unit is quite heavy, anyway I think you could get it recondition in the US for a similar cost. Google it.

The problem with getting it reconditioned is it will develop the same fault
That's why the dude in Australia does a modification to the internals for

Update time! The ASC issue apparently is from the steering angle sensor. When I mounted my aftermarket wheel, what I thought was the clockspring was actually the angle sensor and I just barely tapped it and moved it maybe a 1/4inch. I’ve got a new real carbon race wheel coming in so when that arrives I’ll do my best to readjust it. If that doesn’t work they want $600 for a new one!!

Just to throw a spanner in the works
When I have been tinkering with Throttle bodys and seeing what errors I can get and making notes
A faulty throttle body will also throw a "ASC Service Required" error as well
There is a number of different error codes I can get a faulty throttle body to display to the code reader, but everytime on the instrument cluster to the driver it says "ASC Service Required"
So if you get this error , it can mean just about anything in the car is wrong
Sigh

Clearly lol! I was rereading everyone’s suggestions and thinking “man am I glad it wasn’t any of that”. Funny you say that tho because when I put the wheel on, that light didn’t come up but when I cleaned my throttle body and didn’t do the best job, that’s when it came up

Decided not to wait for the new wheel and opened everything up as I got a different instrument cluster, thinking it was the full color but when I plugged it in it’s still orange but I do like the gauges better. While in there I found two of the wires pinched and the copper was making contact. Taped them apart and fired it back up but the ASC warning was still there, guess I’ll have to see if I can find another solution

The easy way to tell if the instrument cluster is colour or orange first off is the part number

Second
Look at the size and location of the rectangular piece between the tacho and speedometer
The colour LCD panel is larger then then orange display ;-)

Do you have a OBD2 tool to clear the errors with?

Ahh damn! Wish I would’ve known that yesterday lol. Yes but if I remember correctly that code doesn’t show up on mine ($30 tool from Walmart) I’ll have to check again
