Threadlocker needed on caliper slide bolts?

Postby dasmi7 » Thu Jul 26, 2018 7:25 pm

Do you need to put thread locker on caliper slide bolt threads, or is simply putting silicone on the slide pin itself and torquing the bolt sufficient?

A couple of drops of low strength (blue) and tightened to the correct torque is always the best option. And a little grease on the sliding part of the pin will ensure a smooth operation of the calliper.
