As per the messages exchanged to day i have taken photos of my RA snorkel. It is wrapped in gold heat reflection tape. And it has also got a "rainbow pen" air scoop glued to the front of the RA snorkel.
I can't remember the glue used.however it is used by tradies to help glue your new house together. This glue is incredibly strong and even though it is glued onto the front of the RA snorkel by about 20mm or less of contact it wont be coming off anytime soon i assure you

Yellow or Green bottle?

i kinda hope you didnt use liquid nails (green), your gonna need a bloody jackhammer if you ever want to get that out lol

probs normal building grade sillicone though (yellow) its called sikaflex and that stuff works, still need a lot of effort to get it out but less than liquid nails

but yeh, looks good man, if gold went with my colour scheme i would do the same lol

Thanks heaps for those bumblebee, as suspected it is pretty much a stock intake with a wider mouth, and no noise reduction chamber ( I know it has a proper name ). I have an idea, but it is hindered by the battery... The Magna I had the snorkel was pretty much flat, every bend adds restriction (the closer to 90* the worse it is), and in looking inside mine you can see where the air has been turbulent by the dust marks on the inside. and of course the bonnet support thingy ( technical term y0 ) that runs over the top adds to the fun =) bonnet struts here I come

Looking at the shape of that snorkel, looks like there would be enough room up high between the engine and radiator.
to fit a supercharger. Positioned in good location to the inlet side of things. Hmmm!

Quismiff do a google search for EVO X engine bay and it may have what your after. Airbox is where battery is as battery is in the boot, has a short snorkle and if connected to throttle body would have a short pipe.

Would be interesting to see how that setup sounds with an N/A.

The problem would be with the outlets then, as the EVO X has a trubo, the outlet heads to the rear of the engine, if the NA box fitted the back of the EVO X box, it could possibly be a goer.

I see the Ryco A1622 Panel filter suits both vehicles, it could well do.

Now anyone parting with one for a reasonable price? One in Brisbane on Gumtree going for 2 spot, and one on clubcj for sale back in 2012, don't think it'll still be available =P

Might have been a discussion on electric supercharges which apparently, are useless! :(

Reading back through old threads last night, and there is a lot of divided opinion on intakes and early modifications in this thread, but no one has mentioned an EVO X air box in an NA lancer...

Electric supercharger are about as handy as fly screen on a submarine.
The lot i saw had a bolt on supercharger kit. They have turbo kits also.
