Ryco Z924, it's a intake fuel filter module meaning it holds the pump, float and filter all in one. The pump and float come off the original and are transplanted into the new.

Have installed this into a 4b11, 4b12 has the same tank and pump so should be the same but can not confirm 100%

The use of the word "intake" in this context seams confusing! Or is there a second fuel filter as well?

That would be a suction filter I would say.

I'm sure Kal meant to say 'in-tank'.

Correct. You can thank android for changing "in-take" to intake.

Simplified, word should be in-tank not in-take, tank, not take! Haha

I looked at some of the YouTube University tutorials for both filter and pump replacement, and all the ones I looked at were missing the proper safety procedure and spilt fuel everywhere. Also many of them used the wrong sort of line clamps which would have damaged the fuel line(s) (I'd only ever use plugs anyway), and none that I watched covered or plugged the hole whilst working on the sub-assembly to prevent the ingress of contaminants.

Even a basic read of the shop manual and most of these mistakes could have been prevented. I'm thinking a How-To might be in order, especially now that the model is ageing. I'm definitely going to be replacing my filter and maybe the pump too, so perhaps this is a good opportunity to write something up.

Anyway, as far as parts go, the Ryco filter catalogue is a bit messy for the CJs. From what I can tell the right parts are as follows:

  1. The 4B11 & 4B12 (as Kal777 pointed out) use the Z924
  2. The 4B11T uses the Z991
I did notice however, that some tuners list a filter upgrade for the 4B11T, so there might be a better one...

Z991 is a twin pipe delivery. Have a look on the Ryco filter website they have photos of their products. Dual fuel pumps ?
