Fog lights not working

Postby anthony.zarka » Wed Jun 15, 2016 3:10 pm

Hey guys I recently bought a car but my dog lights don't work. The connections are all ok. And not sure what might be wrong with it

I'd get an expert to check it out, along with the auto sensor issue there might be more going on.

Was the car bought through a dealer and does it have any used car warranty left?

are they OEM or after market? (OEM has switch on stork while after market has a separate switch somewhere else.)
have they ever worked in the past?

the link above is for the install of OEM fog lamps. the style of the bulb surrounds changes from 2012 onward i think but the core install is exactly the same.

If you have OEM lamps and you have checked everything in the above guide and are confident that the bulbs are not blown they may have been installed but not enabled in the ECU of the vehicle. this is a setting that needs to be enabled using the MUT III diagnostic tool by the dealer.

To turn on the factory fog lights you first need to turn your lights on to at least parkers. This must be done every time you start your car

Yea I've tried turning them on with the headlights on and they don't work. But the connection in the middle is connected and everything looks fine. And they are factory headlights

Given your dash lights issue it might be wise to get a pro to check it out.
