OEM excedy clutch kit part number

Postby Toybox » Thu May 08, 2014 11:56 am

Hi guys I'm trying to confirm if I brought the right clutch kit for my 2008 CJ lancer VR 2.0L NA. I brought the MkB 7994. Is this right?
If so has anyone used it in there cars?

Yeah that's the thing Ryan I went on the excedy website to get the clutch kit part number for my car before I purchased the kit.
Dropped it off at the mechanic and he telling me that the release bearing in the kit is different to the stock. Everything else matches up fine.
Trying to figure out if I brought the right kit or they package the wrong bearing.
Anyone know if the 2.4L, lancer ralliart and evo x uses the same release bearing as the 2.0L na? I'm guessing I either brought the wrong kit or they sent me the wrong bearing.
Just trying to confirm. Any help would be appreciated :)

I try but i dont think i have any luck with that. Will also cost $20-30 to post back to them and wait for a repy.
Told my mechanic to reuse the stock bearing after a good clean.
Cant have the car off the road for long its my daily :/
Would still be good to hear from others that have use this clutch kit and see if they also run into the wrong bearing issue
Thanks anyway ryan
