Its easier to just create a file called vote.html and open it in firefox.
This will add 31 votes

Code: Select all

WAtsonia Heights as of now have around 4000 votes, that team in the lead has 20618!

Where are we going to find 16000 votes?

After around 75 votes you can not vote anymore. That is the limit that each IP/person can vote. That number is fine.

I don't want to start using different proxies to generate heaps of Bot votes as I don't think its fair on the other teams. I would like to get your support and generate legit votes, up to the amount that Optus say each person can vote.

Initially you could only vote once, then the vote button came back again and one of the teams received thousands of votes in the space of an hour. One of the fathers from our club sent an email to Optus questioning the return of the button and the votes. He received an email back stating that they would look into it and that they would only count 75 votes from each IP. I don't want our club to be accused of cheating, so please do not generate more votes then Optus allows by using a bot with random proxies.

The amount that Optus allows from each IP is more then enough. Once you have voted the maximum times allowed(~75), the vote button disappears.

Optus will select a winner from the teams with the most votes, So it's not the team with the most votes that wins, those teams just make it on the short list.

Thanks for all your help guys

You realise if a team gets too many votes too fast they'll probably know something is up and disqualify them?

Not that it really matters cos you won't win by losing

These are the top 6, the first 2 are the ones that look dodgy.

38173 - Panania RSL Youth Club
21256 - Bonnyrigg Sports Club
06881 - Bingera Football Club
05653 - Tolland Football Club
05584 - Watsonia Heights SC
04852 - East Gosford Football Club

This is the reply that was sent back to our club, after the huge difference in votes between the first 2 teams and everyone else was questioned.
The first 2 teams votes increased by thousands of votes in the space of a few hours and has now slowed down.
Hello

Thank-you for contacting Optus with your enquiry about voting on the Optus Small Sided Football Awards, under the Team Award category.

We are monitoring and authenticating all voting on the site at regular periods to ensure that technology isn’t being used to skew or spam any voting.
We have looked into your enquiry and we can confirm that all votes are genuine.

Please note: The entrants with the most votes will be short listed and the judging panel will select a winning Team from the shortlist.
Therefore I encourage you to keep driving voting for your team and the great entry into the awards.

Best Regards,

Its almost over, Only a few weeks left , and we have dropped out of the top 10 :(

If you have not used up your 75 votes, please click on the link below and submit your votes:
75 Votes

That team that had the most votes that I mentioned in earlier posts is now in second place,
but just in the last 5 days they got 64,000 votes. I Don't know how that could be genuine votes.
Spring Gully came out of no where and now has over 100,000 votes puting them in 3rd place.
Anyway, all we need to do is get back in the top 10.

This is the list of the top teams, we are in 11th place.

416536 - Bonnyrigg Sports Club
358040 - Panania RSL Youth Club
101942 - Spring Gully United SC
38001 - Bingera Football Club
19981 - Tolland Football Club
16890 - Western Strikers
14492 - Princes Street Primary School
14148 - Richmond Ex-Servicemens Soccer Club
13423 - Pacific Pines Football Club
13159 - Ashburton United SC
11675 - Watsonia Heights SC

Thanks for all the support guys.
