Looking good, just need to paint them now!

How much and where?
I'll need new brakes soon and looking to do the install myself.

Cheers! Unsure which colour to paint though, hard choice for a grey car. Thinking either red or black.

Got them from Sparesbox, I suggest waiting for their 20% off sale on eBay or actual site as it's much cheaper than what other places sell them for. Got the lot for $400 including pads during 20% off. If you like, I can give you a spend $100 get $20 off coupon which came with my order. Have quite a few of them now, biggest one was spend $100 get $50, that coupon card came when I ordered the brakes haha.

They were fitted by the Mitsubishi dealer I go to service my car, hell pricey though! Definitely worth getting them fitted somewhere else. 20,000km service was $230, they charged $150/hr for labour so all up it was $680 for both front + rear rotors and pads replaced. Absolute rip pricing but this will be a lesson learnt for next time!

SCA now can colour match paint for brakes, so maybe take in your paint code?

I'll wait for the 20% off, no huge rush. $400 is a good price. Be fitting them myself.

This is were we need to organise more DIY days as a club, if someone has a bit of professional knowledge and a work space that would be even better.

Exactly my thoughts. Didn't know they colour match, good idea to match with car paint though so it blends in.

DIY days would be sweet as! Wish they had them in VIC

BTW I still can't find Brembo pads on the sparesbox site, my VRX details at listed and when I do a search it simply says no parts listed for my car.

From what I've heard, the VRX has bigger brakes so that may be the reason why they're incompatible.
I had a look on Brembo' website and the car chart shows that their pads fit the following models:

Been exchanging emails with Sparesbox, they now say they can't get those rotors for the VRX, doesn't it have the same size rear brakes as the Ralliart? This is weird since I got the specs for them from the ADB site for the Street Series T2 Slotted. I mean how hard is it to get nice looking rotors for a VRX Lancer which has been around for some 10 years? its not new but also not old and hard to get parts.

Okay just called my local Repco with the above part numbers, first total cost through them is about $430 for the rotors. Also weirdly they have a left and right listed for the front. Gonna call some others, still don't know why Sparesbox says they can't get them for the rear, which BTW at Repco cost more than the front, weird.

Those numbers suit my VR-X also, but there is a foot note with the DB417 that after 03/2009, they supersede to DBA2422, the differences being the height, thickness, and minimum thickness
DB417 wrote:Specifications
Diameter (mm) 294
Height (mm) 46
Thickness (mm) 24
Minimum Thickness (mm) 22.4
Centre Hole (mm) 69
Stud Holes 5

DB2422 wrote:Specifications

Thickness (mm) 26

Only found this out because as a 2.0l I have to look at the 2.4L Lancer to get some of the correct part numbers.
DB2425 should suit the rear end, and the pads are usually different to every part selection service available. DB1441 Fronts and DB1464 on the rear, the DB1686 that are recommended for most models are incorrect for the VR-X model line.

Yeah I noticed that and my CJ was built 03/09, so I guess I got the thicker front rotors YAY!

Still weird that they think there is no rear ones for my VRX.

Oh and the parts numbers need to end in (s) for the slot design and not the stock flat look.

Still with pads I'm looking at $600 plus.

have others tried http://brakesdirect.com.au ?

Feels good to be LOW, and boy does the car handle well.
Rear wheels have no finger gap, and according to the shop where I got them fitted, they should drop another 10cm/4inches in a weeks time.

Front wheels have a 2 finger gap, but you can't really notice the gap till you see it up close. I put a 100mm stick underneath the car, it didn't touch anything not even the exhaust so its still LEGAL :D I may drop them the same as rears soon though.

Saved the front bumper from scraping many times, thanks to the front rubber ezlip I got on there. 3M tape is holding up amazing even after 50 washes!

Here's how it looks + damper settings (MCA recommended these). Also sorry for the bad angle! Need more pics with better scenery but no time due to work :(
