I'm not an SUV fan, they are for ill-informed people who think they 'need' one to look cool when the reality is a hatchback will do the same job for most and cost way less the buy and run!

well don’t get me wrong, big SUVs have their place with size and passenger size, but a sporty compact SUV is stipid

While I can see why some older people get SUVs for easier access, as in getting into and out of compared to a sedan or hatch its then a choice do you get a small one like the ASX which is more at home on tarmac than off road or a proper 4x4 which is over sized and a waste on busy streets. Its when you see soccer mums in 100 series LCs at the shops with no kids in sight, pointless, get a hatch or small SUV if you much sit a few inches higher!

Tbh, I can't wait to see what it actually looks like! I guess we will see what it looks like, and if they actually bring it to production.

well if it’s gonna rep the evo name and if it’s gonna be possibly an electric motor might as well go all out and make it one hell of an SUV

ahhh man i’m glad most concept designs don’t see the light of day, but i’m sad mitsubishi have been making a tendency of making cars that the general “sports” population don’t seem to be liking; especially using older legendary names in newer bigger SUVs.. imo this thing looks like is came straight out of tron, this car ain’t suppose to be released until 2056, thing looks like it’s about to fly off like the jetsons! let’s hope the real thing doesn’t look this ridiculous in the future, might have to be saying goodbye to mitsubishi’s plans for petrol powered cars!

Did someone squash the clay mold and they just said "It's meant to look that way."?

The Sportsback was the opposite, great concept but end result had a funny rear.

Still Evolution name hasn't really been associated with rally roots for sometime now, so if Mitsubishi think they can evolve the evolution (argh mind blown) good luck to them.

In the article they talk about throw backs to the Pajero, which did have an evolution variant, and I don't see these cars doing a Paris Dakar any time soon... can you imagine the GPS "you are not on a road". There was also an article yesterday about how manufacturers are aiming at 600kms of range, and all of them electric, and will be by mid 2030s (?)... would be great if they figured out how to offset the environmental impact of manufacturing and recycling these batteries to a level lower than oil production (admittedly oil production has had a head start)

The front looks like it would eat smaller cars in its way.

EVO? Perhaps higher ground clearance would be more beneficial. for the Daca rally!!!!! Win that and regain rally prominence again?

With the now popular SUV status.

Didn't Jeremy Clarkson make a joke about a bentley inhaling small children on a cross walk because of its huge turbos? *rofl* possibly lucky there is no induction what so ever on this one, it'd swallow the family!!

i’m all for electric car production, sure it’s great, instant torque, a way to a cleaner future(i think lmao?) but sending your whole brand into this futuristic/electric status and forgetting a whole chunk of your older fan base is not the way to go, but who cares right cause profit! 100% i doubt the concept will not look no where like this if it were to be produced

Steam gives you instant torque. Hmmm! Problem is what do you use to fuel it?

Electric to provide the steam, steam to charge the batteries!!! Hahaha
