contemplating between bc v1 and bc br. help needed.

Postby cj_sx_2011 » Fri Jul 20, 2012 3:08 am

hello all, i shall now explain my intentions and then if youz could help me decide thanx,

the soul purpose of me wanting coilovers is, so it can be slammed all the time or changed depending on feeling and cruise wise, and my car probs wont ever go on a track,

a. does the v1 and br both have rear damper cords? when you order from justjap or do you need to buy the cords separately?

b. i dont drive like a wank, i only do spirited driving on a nice cruise through windey roads and dont do stupid stuff very often,

so your feed back on this matter, after reading that, thanx :)

a. Yes they both have the adjusters.
b. Personally, I would go the BRs. They are about $100 dearer and the pistons, and construction are better. Worth IMO.

Just one thing, they are not the kind of thing you will adjust when you feel like it. Adjusting them is simple in concept, but it time consuming. Also everytime you adjust them, you will need a wheel alignment.

For something costing in excess of A$1000, the A$100 difference is about 10%, I will say go for the BRs.

You're over thinking this. All for A$100.

I have installed the BR ones and you will find that you will need a camber adjustments on the rear.
The front you have camber plates so problem solved.

Whiteline do a camber adjustment kit for the rear.

can youz get bc br cheaper then 1300, or is that the price set by them?

do you think ill need a camber kit in the rear? even tho i got stock 16s on it not 18 or nothing

yeah i guess the extra wouldnt really matter.
