Not arguing that at all, but there will always be enough cashed up bogans willing to pay anything for one because of the exclusivity.

XR6T will be the exact opposite. In 20 years every 21yo with $5000 will be buying one, because you won't be able to get a Skyline or Supra any more.

Then in another 10years when 3/4 of the XR6Ts etc have been written off, they will start appreciating in value...

Value of cars loosely relates to exclusivity... If it is hard to find one low kms, and good nick they tend to hold value or increase...

XR6T will be rather exclusive in 20 years. The way Ford build them they will be lucky to last that long. We had a G6E Turbo and we were constantly putting it back together. Always had trouble with Fords falling apart. The Turbo 6 that Ford put in them are brilliant though.

What about the Hummer or HMMWV. I don't know what became of the brand but it's Chinese owned and I'm sure they've ruined it.

Once fossil fuels run out (possibly in our lifetime) and we all go electric, or mass transit is forced upon us all - they could be worth something.
