usa site... listed as "future car" however i have belief it hits Aus this year.

Looks alright for a Hyundai ...given 5 more years of brand building, 4WD and these sorts of accents and if it was cheapish i would consider buying one of their cars.

Yup, Hyundai have confirmed this is coming. There was an article on it about a few weeks ago. Not suing a dual clutch auto though - something about the torque?? (which is quite measly)

Kudos to Hyundai in developing a car like this. At a time the Japanese giants have forgotten about the affordable coupe arena (minus toyota and subaru of course).

From reviews though, they need to hire someone in the dynamics department - but I suppose something like that takes many many years of experience.

The non-turbo Veloster looks pretty unique. If you like standing out and want value-for-money, it looks pretty reasonable.

Does anyone else dislike having exhausts in middle?

Exhaust in the middle should be left for supercars...

Wait for the Kia version to come. Hyundai will make it; Kia will fix it.

after my test driving of cars when i was looking (before the lancer) you couldnt give me a Kia, i wouldnt even waste fuel and a match on it.

Hyundai have improved 1000% over what they used to be

in my current hunt for cars . and its been an ongoing hunt for a while now . i test drove one of these . ( the non turbo one) its about time they put something with some oomph. the na is immenslely gutless but with the amount of kit it comes with its a nice car but they really should get that genesis coupe from the US down here

yeh, i drove one also, the features that come with the car are great, rides amazingly, looking really good imo. but yeh i agree, the 1.6 na is not enough. needs a 2L na and a 2L turbo. then it would be perfect.

and no-one has mentioned the doors, its a 2 door coupe from the drivers side but a 4 door hatch from the passenger side. Some one stuffed up royally with the design, i think.

Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImY0U8WChJ0&nomobile=1 pretty funny danned commercial

My mother has a non-turbo Veloster, got it for 28 grand. As was mentioned before, it has absolutely no power but it has a whole ton of features standard that you just don't get standard with other cars nowadays. It looks really nice too! Turbo version should be sweet.

As for Kias, my father and I had a Kia Mentor for 11 years and not ONE problem! They're not that bad
