Yep...
Pros: Acceleration in gear, bang for buck. Wife willing to drive a SST ="availability of an Auto", gadgets (SST, auto wipers, auto lights, bluetooth etc). Easy access/roomy for small/medium car, handy drinks holders, iPod connections, solid feel on road

Cons: Rear visibiity, convex side mirrors, SST soft launch, SST/rear diff back lash on change down up hill (3 to 2 noticable), economy (15+ litres/100 in city driving), seats (after a Subaru), brake feel. Noisy bugger. VRX rims on RA.

my list of peeves...

As mentioned, flimsy cheap feeling sun visors (made to reduce weight?)
indicator clicking sound is barley audible.
unexplained rattling noises on door trims & air vents around stereo head unit.
Paint scratches easily (maybe that's biased as my car is black)
smallest glovvy!
drivers electric window doesn't automatically close all the way up unless holding the button up! that's just stupid! - it does it when you want to fully open it...

Someone mentioned visibility out of rear window cause of the rear wing, what I did is remove all the rear head rests.

I rarely have anyone in the back & it gives you some extra vision under the spoiler & looks better in my opinion.

I hate the fact that the bank wouldn't let me have two evos. But other than that I'm happy with my VRX and RA

Haha well seems like I share a few dislikes with the rest of the gang...

- A common one amongst us that I dont like is the cabin noise..
- The engine tends to sound like a rowl instead of a roar
- The lack of insulation makes the base a bit less solid and tends to rattle
- Base ES models dont have simple necessities like cabin front lamps and a lid for the middle compartment. It wouldnt hurt that much to make those standard...
- No switch on the driver's seat door to lock all the car doors. Instead you gotta lock the driver's seat lock to lock all the doors. When a passenger gets out of the car and you wanna lock the car doors again, you gotta unlock the driver's door switch and then switch it back again (hope that made sense).
- You have to hold "CD" for Aux to turn on everytime you turn on the car.. it doesnt stay there after switching off the car

However I love my car.. and thats all that matters =)

Space saver spare tyre is not desirable. Option to spec real tyre not being available is even worse (there is a reference on Mitsu website to boot capacity when using a full sized spare compared to boot capacity when using space saver, but I can't find any place where it says you can buy one and when questioning the dealer at purchase time, I was told it wasn't an option from Mitsu).

I asked the parts manager and he said I'd be looking at $700 for the rim, the fitting kit to make the space in the boot bigger plus a new tyre to go on the rim. He basically told me to not bother because the 'point' of roadside assist is to get you to the nearest dealer so they can fix the tyre?! I hate space savers and that is one of the major downsides of the car for me.

Re the space saver spare, remember virtually all cars sold in the past 15yrs or more in the USA and a lot of newer ones here in Aust have them.
They serve their purpose despite their operating limitations.

I was absolutely disgusted to see the $60K+ EVOs dont even get that, only a spray can repair kit.

being i havnt got mine yet ill base my post on my mums VRX,

Im not a fan of the CVT if you just driven it slow its great but im use to a standed auto, the spoiler rattle when i got the fosgate cranking. and the lil 2L ran out puff when i was trin to pass that b double when i took the car down to albury

besides that i love it, nearly bought a es dressed up like a ralliart/ evo. just cant wait to i get mine.

also the warranty department is a lil stricked, for example my mate works at a holden dealership and they give tail light globes under warranty, he has got a ch lancer and is struglin to get a steering wheel under warranty koz it has worn out in 1 section.
the voices may not be real, but they have some pretty good ideas :D:D
