I've been pondering aftermarket cat-back exhaust options, and to 'train' me in getting used to a louder exhaust (and for shits and giggles), I took off my existing rear muffler from the rear axle bolts.

I was surprised to see and hear that there's a resonator on the long pipe after the cat - many aftermarket exhausts this piece is just a straight pipe and I hadn't crawled under my car before...
But it's also made me conscious of noise avoidance and keeping the engine revs low while trying to blend in traffic - so perhaps for me having a loud exhaust would translate into better fuel economy for this reason alone.

most exhausts have a resonator, otherwise they will drone too much and you certainly dont want that

Took a road trip to the North Shore of Sydney.

Came back with some heavily modified A-pillars and an extra pair of speakers.

Now have 6 speakers in the front + Sub. :D

Wet apping was a piece of cake, the thing that took the most time was getting it correctly centred. Something I am sure you could relate to :P
:D I LOVE it, looks awesome :D
