I Just gave Wyong Mitsubishi a good Rap in another Thread so I do hope they get your car sorted , Have they given you an Idea what the trouble could be ?[/quote:7460f3960c] Hey Doreen, granted the first time it went in for a major service, although I checked for error codes before I went and when I picked it up ( didnt drive it before checking ) and the error code was still there. Makes me wonder if they actually scanned it.... Took it in again and they scanned it, took some plug off the transmission and did a wiggle test. May just be one of those things :(

Phil Didn't you say you were having trouble with the gears ? Or has that been fixed up ?

The plug apparently has to do with 'P' and 'N' being able to start the car and to disengage any of the forward or reverse gears. It is a 'Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction' that I'm getting.

Well pull up to our garage door, put it in 'N' ( shows 'N' on the dash ) and engage the handbrake to open the garage. Issue is it remains in 'D' and lurches forward, followed by a warning. Once you acknowledge the warning, the dash shows 'D'. Now we put it in 'P' which hasn't done it yet.
Love that car!

Discovered the little bottle of air freshner I purchased a few weeks back didn't have the top unscrewed, so it wasn't exactly active until now!

Changed the engine oil and filter. My first ever attempt, not sure why I've never tried it earlier. The hardest part was trying to figure out the filter wrench thing.

There's No-Stopping you now Naheen .... well done,

I always admire guys that try for themselves rather than pay for everything to be done to their cars.

I understand that not everyone is able or capable, so that's also OK also.

But give it a try, where & when you can .....
Remember thou, always gather info & advice before hand.

I was running Bendix HD Pads ...
But wasn't happy about the squealy biting sound the fronts pads always made on slotted rotors just as they come to a full stop.
The rears pads were fine .... no squealy biting sounds on plain rotors.

I don't think the Bendix HD pads were designed to match/work properly on slotted rotors .... :(
