Merlin Tuning - Adelaide Dec 12-13

The Adelaide tuning session on Dec 12th and 13th is firming up nicely now.

Tuning will be conducted from the Steve Knight Racing workshop, 4 Devon St Lonsdale. Some road tuning for the cruise stuff and some dyno tuning for the power runs.

At this point in time I have 5 participants confirmed as follows:

Troy - 2009 Aspire Lancer - 1st as I will be in his car for 40 minutes from the airport anyway.

Harley - 2013 ES Lancer - 2nd, due to persistent nagging!


Annie - 2009 Ralliart

Michael - 2013 ES Lancer

Daniel - 2010 Active Lancer


At this point I am thinking start with two Lancers, then Annie's Ralliart late afternoon and into Saturday night. The remaining Lancers on Sunday morning.

Or maybe three NA Lancers on Saturday and then Annies Ralliart Saturday evening, We will see how we go.
That will do as a game plan for now but things may need to be moved around some.

Michael and Daniel, let me know if Sunday morning is ok or whatever.

Same, that would be great lol. It would be interesting to see the difference between our two cars seeing as the only difference mechanically would be the normal engine variations and mods. One of the other Lancers is a pre-2012 MY13 update, meaning it has the older version of the 4B11 and likely older version of the CVT (seeing as it has different fluid spec requirement), and the other is a 2.4.
I might add a pic of my car once I style the exterior a bit :).

Looks like it should be a good turn out.
I'll pop down and say hi. I did set a date for our Xmas lunch on that Sunday but can change it so members can attend this.

Ok, I need someone to volunteer to pick me up from the airport and generally organise and assist.

I dont know the area and dont want to impose on Steve to put me up for the night so can anyone recommend a suitable motel nearby?
I will also need transport Sunday morning to the SKR workshop and finally back to the airport Sunday afternoon.

Pick you up at the Airport on Saturday morning --- *plane*

Take you to Steve Knight's --- *car*

Sleep over *sleep* at his place on Saturday night (dinner included) --- *hungry*

Back to SKR on Sunday morning --- *car*
Drop off at Airport for your 3pm flight back to Sydney --- *plane*

He's busy at work place atm, (cant log- on to a PC) that's why he asked me to post this offer on his behalf.


He will call your MOB later over the weekend to confirm and make arrangements with you ... *thumb*
