would anyone happen to know any mechanics around the port macquarie area? preferably mobile that is able to do pre purchase inspections? i'm looking for a mechanic who is reputable and know what they're doing..
I'm from melbourne and i just want to find out if the car i'm looking at is a lemon.. or if there is anyone here that know their way around cars, i wouldn't mind sending you money to have a check. Thanks a lot guys!

I've had pre-purchase inspections done by RACQ which is the equivalent of NRMA in NSW and Stateroads.
I'd say go for the state roads they look at a lot more on the car starting with the engine then they look at the paint and analyse the paint thickness etc to see if any panels have been resprayed/repaired.
It'll cost a couple hundred but its worth it IMO for the information and peace of mind, also if they find anything this could be used as a negotiation tool to bring the price down which may pay for the inspection itself.
