Parts Wreckers in Sydney

Hi guys and girls,

Does anyone know if any wreckers in Sydney have a regular supply of CJ Lancer parts? The model may be too new to show up in numbers (and let us hope our peers don't have a tendency to get into accidents alot and hence supply the wreckers with spare parts).

I just thought it might be useful for those who may want to find spare parts or replacements... but I just had another thought that MMAL warrants these cars for 5/10 years so there's really no real need for say replacement ignition coils or alternators.

Nevermind, let me get into my specifics: I bought my car used, and of course there are one or two things missing that I'd like to get replacements for. Namely one of the plastic screw threads that attaches the cover to the car's battery, and the plastic door to gain access to change the bulbs on the back of the hatch door - I have one of them missing.

there is a 2010 cj sportsback at a wrecker in milperra in sydney. i have already taken some parts from it.

Finding CJ's is wreckers is very hard, especially RA and Evo's.

Insurance companies want more then wreckers are prepared to pay so they get crushed. It breaks my heart especially Evo and RA's as a few parts I would like to swap.

You probably will find only a few that were not insured being wrecked.

I contacted them once for price on window visors and tail lights, for the visors they quoted $75 each, new from mitsu is $45-55 each. For the tail lights they quoted $300, which new you can get on ebay for around $270.
Don't waste your time with them.

to be honest good luck if anyone does find a good wrecker for cj parts let me know coz most of the writen off cars come to my work and we don,t get many cjs

Some wreckers will try to fool you by marking up their prices because most people think they're much cheaper than the dealer they won't bother asking the latter for a quote. Don't fall for it!
