one big grille

Postby hobba » Sat Jul 30, 2011 7:56 pm

Can someone please do a rough picture of the front end where that front bumper part that separates the two grills is replaced with more grill.
Just wondering what it would look like..
Cheers for any help..

Ps. Is it possible to have this done in real life?

Only way to pull it off is to replace the entire grill with a higher density (smaller holes) mesh and paint the front intrusion bar black so it doesnt come through..

Lexu's doing something similar to there range.. looks agressive!

I vaguely remember the Russian Autoloker site had something like that.

They did Ryan....:P I bit of Audi styling to it..... But, I wouldn't get anything from that website. A brief read of the Group Buy thread would explain that.

Is the anywhere that does that or could do that. And what cost would u be looking at to do it?

That russian one just seems to cover the central bar, rather than remove it...

I think theres an impact bar behind the plastic in the middle, which you wouldn't be able to remove.

Changing the front-end profile of a vehicle too much would probably technically need an engineering certificate... As theres laws about pedestrian safety etc in an accident.

Then again everything 'technically' requires an engineering certificate...

What the Russians appear to have done is remove the plastic part of the centre bar, leaving the impact bar with all the safety stuff intact behind.
