I did all the prep work (cleaning, rubbing back, priming, masking, highlight painting) but a mate done the Blue and clear and a local artists done the lighting.

Nah, all good - i didnt want to colour match only because to me it looks dull, im a fan of more different bright colours and plus adding the the red stuff adding on to the car's interior should go ok :) either way thanks for the opinions mate

i think if you're going to have a lot of other red accents on your car, like i'm going to (red vinyl badges, red footwells, red calipers, red LED engine bay lights), then you can definitely get away with having your engine bay painted red on the white lancer.

i'll post mine in here again so everyone else can see, but i think it works really well with the Graphite Grey. i'm also going to use red mesh when i do the improved airflow and DIY SRI mods, to give that little extra red accent.

I don't mind Nathan's airbrushing, but i personally think it's a bit too full on. I'd rather go the subtle route.

Pretty much everything you said in your post Craig is what I'm planing, I have red LEDs through the car atm, more soon. Calipers and going red soon and the red grille neons too. The DIY intake is also happening :) thanks heaps.

The car is SILVER just to clear it up :P
