Did a run from Dreamworld to the Northside of Brisbane....

I had an average speed of 98km/h and fuel burn of 15.2 km/litre

That tank gave me 715km

For those who stick to litres per 100 that is 6.57l/100 which is pretty good!

I'm starting to improve my right foot (or my car is more run-in);

Getting it down there now esp with you having an evo.
Since the new exhaust, I'm managing runs of 6.5l/100k down from 7 before for a 24km run to/from work with couple of 80 zones lots of 60, with an ave speed of 45km/h but thats in a VR. I need a good highway run to see if its capable of getting lower.

I have been getting 7.5l/100km Lane Cove to Central Coast. Average 75km/h, leaving Lane Cove at 4pm. I used to get about 8.2

Once the engine losens up you definitely should get a little bit better economy. I also find I get better economy not using cruise.

Smooth driving is definitely rewarded whereas CC can open the throttle even when approaching an area you should be slowing down.

On average I'm getting 7.5L/100KM per trip. That's just driving around where I live and to and general travel across 7-9 suburbs.

Best I've gotten on a long drive with 3 people in he car and luggage was 6.6L/100kms going to the Airport. Trip back was 6.1.L/100kms. That tank also ended up lasting me 730kms, would have been a lot longer however I was hooning around up and down old PacHwy and Kuringai Chase road on that tank averaging 10.9L/100kms.

it certainly seems that our non-turbo'd brothers get far better fuel consumption around town then the gas guzzling evo's lol

I found using Caltex Vortex in my 2.4 VRX manual far better results then normal unleaded around town. Or I'm just getting over the new toy thing.(NOT)

I got 9.2L/100km over my usual drive from the Hills to the city on a Sunday night (around 35km). Surprisingly good IMO!
