And hopefully ur warranty has run out, cause as soon as a turbo gets bolted on, guess what the dealership is gonna say...

Something along the lines of "F*** off" when you ask them to fix something would be my guess. ^^

Not only that but y wouldn't u just put all that money u gonna spend on the turbo kit and upgrade stuff towards a RA, that is AWD and already turbo. I can just image the torque steer, do some twisties with that and drive ur car off the side of a cliff

If he wants to put a turbo on his car then let him. Not everyone wants an RA or an Evo. A turbo FWD Lancer would have one thing over both RA and Evo, weight advantage. At the end of the day the RA is a few hundred kg more than a normal Lancer. Dont overlook a light car with a turbo just because its not AWD.

If turbo is done sensibly on a FWD car it can turn out good.

True, would certainly be faster on a rolling start, not off the line though. Depends how many kw's you are pumping at the wheels.

thanks tjoz. yeah, the idea came to me when i thought about engine sizes as well. because the vrx is a 2.4, yet the RA and EVO have a 2 ltr. so i figured as long as a have the right handling mods along with the turbo ill be fine.

Kudos to you brendon. Also depends on how long your going to be keeping the car for...I plan to keep my car for a while...once i get off my P's ill most likely turn my car into a turbo project car...While at the same trying to get my hands on either a RA or evo. Probley saying thats stupid might as well just sell yours and get one with a turbo but my car means too much to me just to sell it off, its my first car...its love ♥

thanks tadzorz. yeah my vrx is my first new car. ill be keeping it for a while, so yeah. my upgrade to turbo will be gradual. ill most likely get worked internals and most the handling mods before i whack the turbo on. just to be on the safe side

I have also thought about this, I think it really has possibilities!

As for torque steer take a look at all the turbo mazda's, the XR5, the new RS500 just to name a few. As long as you drive it as you would one of these turbo FWD cars I cant see a problem, I.E no pushing the throttle mid corner ect ect

Torque steer doesn't just affect u on corners, it's like a RWD stepping out on takeoff, ull b able to change lanes on the motorway just by hitting boost Torque steer is cause by the drive shafts being different lengths and the position of the gearbox

with the MPS3 they actually limit the boost in 1st 2nd gear

ive driven a mps3, xr5t and c30t5. last 2 have the same engine, funny shit seeing a volvo engine in a ford

all have really bad torque steer as they are all fwd. the mps the worst though, like aryon said can change lanes with no steering input at 80kms... baaaaad man
