^ Not sure on credibility of these posts, but just got word from some of the dudes at PL on the XtremeBoost thread. The stock lancer with the XB kit, running at 5- 6 PSI, has beat an Evo X... So don't even talk RA yet... lol

All we really need is braces and bars, and we should be right with base Lancers. Unless you're talking Pro Track Driver vs Pro Track Driver, the average Joe in a Lancer Turbo has beaten the average Joe in a Evo X.

^ yeap...

with the internals kit, you're looking at 300 - 340whp easy, with only 12 - 14PSI of boost.

PS: Nice OB lancer! :-)

^ no worries mate, happy to be of help. At the moment between these 2...

* Endless SSS front, NS Ceramic rear
* Brembo custom cross drilled slotted rotors
* Endless braided brake lines

OR...

* Evolution 8 MR Brembo 4 Piston front
* Evolution 8 MR Brembo 2 Piston rear
* Endless SSS front pads, Endless SSS rear pads
* Brembo 320mm cross drilled slotted rotors
* Endless braided brake lines

the 2nd set would require custom brackets, which are VERY costly (in the lines of more then what the calipers themselves cost!). That's why i'm undecided at the moment. Or, will just run low boost, until I up the brakes.

yeah, the XtremeBoost team have really put alot of effort and testing into these kits before even releasing them, unlike RRM which still havent done proper testing! I chose the XB kit not just on price, but the quality of the parts compared to the competition. the RRM kit has lots left out, and when you ask them about their kit, they are halfbaked with answers.

here's a teaser for ya... *someone* on ClubCJ is working on a turbo mod for their CJ as well... He was talking to me a few days ago, and he seems to be pretty set. we're working with XtremeBoost to get him what he needs.

* don't quote me on this, but I *should* be done with everything before the Sydney meet on the 17th/Jan. at least the first stage hopefully.

Forged internals probably

Price irrelevant Phoenix - best brake kit?

Because when you think about it - the 3 most important things are tyres,brakes and suspension. without those - ur a bullet basically. with those...ur like a bullet train? lol bad analogy but yeah. safety first.

I'm thinking Maxxis Victras (only coz i dont want to go Semi-Slicks you know that) as tyres, Tein springs (more info would be nice) and whichever is the BEST brake kit...

Best brakes, price irrelevant? Well, you can get the ones the Ferrari F430's have as an optional extra. Carbon Ceramic composite discs, think they go for about $3,500 a rotor if i'm not mistaken, 6 and 8 piston race Brembo's $6,000+- for the front, and multiply for rear, and ceramic pads. Oh, and add in the brake lines, $1,000 - $1,500. If you get them with the car it's only about $15,000 extra.

when you add em up, its about close to a Lancer ES CVT or VR Manual... lol

off the top of my head, those are the most expensive and powerful, unless you're taking GT cars. But even those, they only use 8 pot caliper slotted rotors, which go for about $6,000 - $8,000 a set for Endless (front/rear). Brembo Gran Turismo series kits (front or rear) go for about $4,500 - $5,000, which are the top of the line retail kit's (complete) for either front or back.

Ferrari F430 (with optional ceramic's)

I meant out of those two you had lined up Phoenix lol...

The turbo kit itself runs up around 15k.
