I'm not pointing blame at Repco, yes it may well be their fault, but it just as much my fault.

It should of not gone on for so damn long.

I did the best I could do, I failed and I'm willing to admit defeat. I'm not perfect, I wish I was I really do.

I wanted these bars just as much as everybody. I was only trying to help others. Just wish it worked out.

And if the majority of the group wishes to continue with the goup buy?

Can it continue? Or try again?

It's not going to continue under me. All monies will be refunded, Mizta B and blade888 are taking car of that to ensure transparency.

If in the future another buy was to happen, it would go through ofey, he is the group buyer.

Sorry folks

Adrian I do not understand how Repco messed the order up. Please name names as I think we have a right to know.

Why was money paid to Repco if there was no order?

I thought you had the money?

Thank you Adrian, and to all involved who in their own time tried to make this happen I thank you as well. It is unfortunate it had to come to this, but in light of the circumtances a refund is the best option and frankly welcome.

Wonder who else has swaybars for the CJ RA/Lancer? Not sure I want to go through Whiteline again (not laying blame, but it looks like they'll never be ready!)

Troy, the reason the money was paid up-front was because that is policy. For buy-in items (ie items not listed in Repco's computer catalogue system, but available from a supplier) they must have full payment up front. This is because too many times over the years items have been ordered in, but the person would never show to collect eh goods, so the store would be out of pocket. Sucks I know, but that is common place in lots of places now.

I won't be naming names for a few reasons namely it is hard to narrow down exactly who would have been responsible for the order to be processed. I believe the problem started with me, as the order was processed at the store on a weekend, but the actualy ordering could not occur until a weekday. I believe that is where it all went awry. It didn't go from the weekend clipboard to the ordering process that week. Unfortunately this did not get picked up earlier, thus once the situation was known it was all too late.

Once again, I'm sorry it had to end like this, but I assure you that we are getting refunded and the club Treasurer Mizta B and blade888 will be in charge of the refunds.

Thanks Adrian. I would expect Repco will be quite expedient with your refund... I would also ask that the executive continue with transparent dealings and keeping us all informed as to the progress of the refunds... I don't think we need to be kept for weeks for this to occur...

Tryg, they have promised to get it ASAP. But they did say due to the large amount involved, it would have to be a cheque from head office rather than from the branch itself.

I do expect to find out more next week. I will keep on it, scout's honour.

The decision was made to have MiztaB and blade888 handle it for the transparency side of it.

Thanks to all for your understanding.

Just emailed Whiteline sales, asked for a no-BS answer on availability for these fronts/rears...

Just in case there are those who want them... still.

I wont be organising anything, but to pass on what they say about these bars...

I would think the best thing to do is to look forward and move on from this.
From organising so many group buys, I can only say it's NOT an easy process.

Can someone please add a poll to this thread, how many of you would want to go on waiting for whitelines and how many of you want to go back to Ultra Racing ( I would advise against it actually, they're heavy!).

Or are there any other brands we can look to?
Beeble tooned MY08 OEd. w/ RA BKit+SWheel
Cosworth Panel Filter w/ RA Intake | SuperCircuit 4-2-1 Headers | Creat’d Ti-tipped SS exhaust
BC BR-type Coilovers | UR + Whiteline Bars
EBC GreenStuff Pads | RDA Rotors
