Group Buy Service for October Poll

From now on, my group buy service will try and do 1 item group buy per month. I'd like to run a straw poll of some kind to see where the main interest is and then we address that.

I'll start us rolling with some ideas:

1. Dynamat Bulk Pak - At the moment the best offer I have is A$200.00 here in Melbourne for a box. Shipping I can say would be by Transdirect like how I shipped some brakes and I'm sure it's < A$25. Need minimum of 10 boxes. Most worthwhile group buy at the moment IMHO.

2. Visual Garage Sharkfin Antennas - Self explanatory. With strong A$, you might well get it under the A$80 we had to shell out in the last buy. We will probably rope in a couple of other clubs to do this.

3. Bodykits and Add on parts - Some people have asked for V-Lips, some for rear diffusers. I'm also on the RColt forum, looking at their group buy of body kits and am thinking of the container import so everyone saves hugely on shipping. If you think a body kit is imperative now, vote for this one. Though this with the size of parts and price involved will probably stretch over Oct and Nov. Still hard pressed though since we'll need about 100 bodykits to make the container worth while. Still if you don't have A$1200 lying around spare to begin with, this is not one to vote for.

4. NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs - The HKS ones may have been too rich for some of our bloods. Those are the best money can buy I'm told. However, if you want to replace your current plugs, these NGK ones are pretty much the performace ones which are recommended. Retail is about A$28 per piece, I've gotten in touch with the NGK distributor here in VIC and he'll do A$15-17 a piece for 5 or more cars i.e. 20 plugs?.

5. Rim Skins - Protect your Alloys from scuffs against the high side barriers today! A$50 shipped or from your local Autobarn. So the question is do you want this and think a group buy will help you afford it?

6. Injen CAI Round 2 - Check out the link. Want your car to breathe better?

If you guys have any other suggestions, let me know and I'll add them to the list.

Ofey, with the RimSkins, does that include the skins for all 4 wheels and what lengths are the rimskins? Because i know they sell them in different lenghts, ie, 16" to 18" - 18" to 20" etc...

The Extractors are sold by RPW a sponsor of this club. We have to believe that they've offered everyone the best possible price for the item.

The Group Buy Service as I envisioned it was to cover items where we didn't have that company as a sponsor. The numbers we have will attempt to cut out the middle man which in turn brings reduced cost to us all.

As with the bracings, we went direct to the source. Fortunately, I had people there to act for us. So that's the vision of the group buy service.

In the case of Dynamat, the US company ships in Boxes of 100 so unfortunately, we can't get a sale off them and as such, we look for the lowest price retailer here in Australia who's willing to come on board for 10-20 sets.

The price I quoted is the RRP. I am now negotiating on a group buy for the 18-20" so everyone is covered.

they're launching a new product soon, so we will be picking up old stock in a way on the cheap through this.

Okay sweet.

Ill just note for everyone aswell, i dont believe these work on wheels with a polished lip, Kinda like my old wheels. These are only effective on flush faced wheels, like the VRX ones.

How much extra does the dynamat weigh?

according to the Dynamat Tech Specs it says the 18"x36" sheets are 0.82kg each. so 9 sheets of that in a bulk pack work out to 7.38kg

Since this is a runaway...I think we can fairly confirm we'll be doing Dynamat.

OK so far the best price I have is A$200 per for 10 or more sets of Dynamat. Anyone can find me a better price? Shipping to the rest of the states should not be more than A$25, so you should check within your own state first before committing here. If we get 10 or more sets, i'm gonna push it down to A$190 though... .
