I'm guessing it will be like those resonator things you get off the stock CAIs on cars. Something to do with smoothing out the exhaust gas pulses in this application I would say, because when they smooth it out it flows better and makes more power or some shit like that...

translated from jap that thing is a "power chamber" .. basically it acts like a resonator.. some companies which use this design in some of their exhaust are hks and gp sports..

heres a gp sports one on a dc5r..

oh common ben - don't be a wimp! I want that lip vinyl'd by the next meet - lol :-P

Might b a bit hard 2 do 'ey?

btw - I'm with Ryan etc, that this diffuser's a bit to understated for my liking. Plus I have no CF on my car and would be after a black one (happy to paint if it was larger)...

So what's the actual story with these now ofey? ur actually getting them are u? or just researching or making a mold or something???

If it is the good stuff, apparently you are meant to be able to heat it with a hairdryer and shape it... knowing me I would probably stuff it up for sure though!!!

Yeah - I always thought it was like heat-shrink tube a bit... but I've seen a few types now and they all just seem like "book contact".... they DO stretch - and this is helpful to work out creases etc because it's a bit forgiving, but you wouldn't say, be able to wrap a mirror I don't think.... I've only done a few vinyl jobs, not an expert, it's possibly I don't know what I'm talking about :-P
But from my experience, I'd forget about doing a front V lip (maybe a C lip like mine) in vinyl.... it'd be an abortion...
