Unfortunately, they don't make such a scuff guard except for the EVO. I'd say though that you can adapt the carbon fibre look scuff guard to that purpose. It'll simply stick on.

Yeah thanks ofey - I thought that too when I saw how long it was. Proper fitting will depend on how wide it is and whether or not it will stick even though the plastic part is slightly curved.

Might be worth a try - the drivers plastic has copped a HAMMERING (I don't know how or why she does it).

Since it's really hammered Why not just get a replacement of that kick plate? Surely I can get you a quote for that. Then tell your wife, the next time it gets scratched up, she pays for the next replacement.

Sorry that's for a set of 4. You can't just buy one section of it.

I've added a new part to the listings on the first page *Actually alot of new parts*

Everyone should re-scan that list from time to time. I remember The_bandit or someone else asking me about the original scuff plate i.e., the plastic panel that's next to your door. We've located the part and if you want to replace them it's A$40 a piece. So if yours is scratched beyond recognition, you can get it replaced quite cheaply.

We've now got a panel guide so anything you f**k up during your DIY sessions can be replaced too!

Ofey when you get time can you inquire about car seat covers? Not in a great rush so let the dust settle from everything else on your plate if need be.

I remember seeing them in the lancer brochure I had - they are designed with the airbags in mind and still allow them to deploy properly as far as I can remember. Though it was a while back so I could just be dreaming haha. They are Mitsi part.

Great stuff ofey - I will keep it in mind. Get a new one and replace the bunged up unit when it gets too unsightly or when it's time for the car to go.

Thanks again!

Does she wear heels often bandit? This could be the issue when she swings her feet out of the car. I know if I'm having a lazy day my feet scuff that panel (it's pretty high TBH, I have to remind myself it's there all the time when getting in and out of the car).

Hi daveee, no heels man, I think it happens when she puts it in the garage and won't/can't reverse in like I do - she gets too close on the driver's side and then has to squeeze into the seat meaning her shoes drag on the door plastic.

Anyways, $40 isnt the end of the world and it should be a fairly easy fix.

Good result.

New *incoming* sponsors mean new parts mean a new bank balance for those interested:

SPECIAL ORDER
Image
Price: Depending on take up.

Comments:
* Limited edition ONE TIME only.
*NO Air Bags.

Who's up for it?
I need at least 4 seats to be ordered before I can do something.
No I'm not ordering one myself *it's not on my todo list*.
I think the one guy who should go for this is Captain! He'd win ROTM if he put this in!!

Always check the first post of this thread, more parts added EVERYDAY!!

Not 100% sure, but wouldn't you need an engineering certificate when changing your seats. Especially if you have side curtain airbags.
