I would say if you watch me do then follow, I don't have a problem.

My fear as always working on peoples cars is what happens if I snap something. I don't want to be responsible unecessarily. What started out as good faith ends up as a financial loss to me? Hope you understand.

That sounds fair enough. I've been so busy lately with work, uni, sport etc that I've forgotten about the website. I will try to join you guys for one of the gatherings but I am seldom free on weekend evenings and nights

Hmmm what's the diff between the polished and black? I know the polished is made of metallic material (aluminium?) and the black is what?
Weighing between the difference of a dumb general police duties being less inclined to pick out the black as "non standard"....

The Australian Dollar is smashing it at the moment. Will that help our prices?

Haha hint hint :)

We would have to consider those that would not have had available funds until October plus there's the fact that there would be 2 GB's in sept this way and we may be throwing Ofey's schedule all out of whack... who knows what he has up his sleeve :P

That being said... IMO close it and lets buy some goodies while the $$$ are good lol

Well it's changed about 6% in the last fortnight. That's about $25. It's not life changing, but it's basically a free hydroshield Blake. Worth thinking about.

I think there is a good chance the dollar will hold 90+ cents levels in the medium term. With good employment numbers and the recent consumer spending figures, RBA is looking at the inflation risk. Hope by forex traders is that another interest rate rise is on it's way. you might see a slight drop off first tue oct if the RBA interest rise doesn't eventuate, but then the anticiapation that the RBA will move on first tue Nov will be more feverish and dollar will have more upside then.... :)

OK, I'm of the opinion that we should close this. The numbers are big enough for us to go on these. Problem though is if everyone can shell out the money now.

The Buying List is here:

VIC (1 Shipment)
All SP1835:
1. Nicho 2.0 - Polished Piping - Black Shield VIC
2. exaltd 2.0 - Polished - Red VIC

NSW (2 Shipment)
SP1836:
3. EEV00L 2.4 - Polished - Black NSW
4. MrCharisma 2.4 - Polished - Red NSW
5. VRX-Pete 2.4 - Polished - Black NSW 2009
SP1835
6. l0n3w01f 2.0 - Polished - Black NSW
7. BRO-027 2.0 - Polished - Black Shield NSW 2580

QLD (2 shipments)
SP1836:
8. Paggsy 2.4 - Polished - Black QLD 4501
9. AJjnr86 2.4 - Polished - Black QLD
SP1835:
10. Draevon 2.0 - Polished - Black QLD 4103
SP1837:
11. Andy85 RA 2.0 - Polished - Black QLD 4504
Hydroshields only
12. Blakey - Black Shield Only QLD 4502
13. zedd82 - Black Shield ONLY QLD 4122

The reason why in some cases we have to split into 2 shipments is that once we cross A$1000, we will have to pay all kinds of tax and custom clearing.

So to split up into smaller bundles makes more sense.

In a way, the pricing our supplier is providing is roughly:

SP1835P = US$260 / A$278
SP1836P = US$275 / A$295
SP1837P = US$300 / A$320
1033 = US$20 / A$22

A good estimate is that it will cost the average Joe < A$415 to get an Injen CAI onto your car.

What did GB1 pay roughly?
blanka wrote:the price for the first group buy was just over $500Aus delivered but remember that when we did the first group buy the Aus$ was not as strong as it is now so you might get it cheaper now

My pricing below may vary abit since I also have to work in the wire fees to send the money across but please be assured, I've tried to be as fair as I can.

The split is as follows:
Box 1 to (VIC 3000 Australia)
2 X SP1835P = US$520
1 X 1033BLK = US$20 ea
1 X 1033RED = US$20 ea
Courier = US$200.00
Total = US$760 ~ A$815.00 (including wire fees), so ~ A$407.50 each

Box 2 to (NSW 2000 Australia)
3 X SP1836P = US$825.00
2 X 1033BLK = US$40
1 X 1033RED = US$20
Courier = US$230.00
Total = US$1115 ~ A$1200.00 (including wire fees) , so ~ A$400 each

Box 3 to (NSW 2000 Australia)
2 X SP1835P = A$520.00
2 X 1033BLK = US$40.00
Courier = US$200.00
Total = US$760.00 ~ A$815 (including wire fees), so ~ A$407.50 each

Box 4 to (QLD 4501 Australia)
1 X SP1836P = US$275.00
1 X SP1837P = US$300.00
3 X 1033BLK = US$60.00
Courier = US$200.00
Total = US$835 ~ A$900.00 (including wire fees)

Box 5 to (QLD 4300 Australia)
1 X SP1835P = US$260.00
1 X SP1836P = US$275.00
3 X 1033BLK = US$60.00
Courier = US$200.00
Total = US$795.00 ~ A$850 (including wire fees)

Could those in NSW QLD indicate to me your post codes so I can group you together logically? For now I just did it by package types.

Could you also indicate if you're happy to go ahead at about A$425 conservatively? and by when?
